The New Jersey Devils have become the first NHL team to reach an agreement with 15 Seconds of Fame, allowing fans who appear on the video board at the Prudential Center to receive a personalized video clip.
The Devils had tested the technology during the season finale in April and reported positive reviews from fans who downloaded the mobile app and simply registered by taking selfies. The app then recognizes fans who appear on the video board and can deliver clips, allowing them to be shared—because what else would they do?
