Nadine Hernandez, a Los Angeles Police Department detective who was involved in the investigation of Derrick Rose's rape case, was found dead inside of a home Tuesday.
The L.A. County coroner’s office confirmed Wednesday that it was Hernandez who had died, but not much more information was given. Her death is under investigation, and, via KTLA, authorities haven't said if they are searching for anyone in connection. No arrests have been made, and no connection between Rose's case and Hernandez's death have been made.

Hernandez gained attention in recent weeks as her name was attached to a letter from the LAPD that confirmed there was an active criminal investigation on Rose.
