Despite failed drug test, Kimbo Slice set to headline Bellator card in London

Despite testing positive for steroids earlier this year, Kimbo Slice has been booked to headline a Bellator MMA card at London’s O2 Arena on July 16. Slice will fight James Thompson in a bout to be televised on Spike TV.

MMA president Scott Coker made the announcement Sunday on ESPN’s SportsCenter.

Slice failed his drug test at Bellator 149 in Houston, testing positive for nandrolone and an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone (T/E) ratio, after beating Dhafir Harris via third-round TKO on Feb. 19. Slice faces a one-year ban in the state of Texas and a $5,000 fine, and was placed on 90-day suspension.
