In a new interview with ESPN the Magazine, Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson revealed that he works up to 12 hours a day at his family farm during the offseason, despite signing a $39 million contract last year.
Nelson, who has already made $28 million in his career, will drive a wheat combine or help herd the 1,000 cattle that reside on his family’s farm in Riley, Kansas.
“Working cattle is my favorite farm duty,” Nelson said. “I probably identify more as a farmer [than a football player].”
Nelson has 49 career touchdowns and was a Pro Bowler in 2014.
