France coach Didier Deschamps has urged Paul Pogba to improve following the midfielder's disappointing display in his side's 4-1 win over Bulgaria on Friday.
Les Bleus recorded their first win of the 2018 World Cup qualifying phase thanks to double from Kevin Gameiro and strikes from Dimitri Payet and Antoine Griezmann.
Pogba operated in a more defensive midfield role for the Euro 2016 finalists at Stade de France but struggled to shine.
“He can and must do better,” Deschamps said of Pogba. “When he has a defensive role like that, that's not the best for him.
