Derrick Rose rape investigation to go on 'unimpeded' after detective's death

The investigation into an alleged rape by Knicks guard Derrick Rose "will continue unimpeded," the Los Angeles Police Department said in the wake of detective Nadine Hernandez's suspected suicide.

Hernandez, one of several officers assigned to the Rose case, according to L.A. police, died Wednesday from a single gunshot wound to the chest at her Whittier, Calif., home, Whittier police said. The 19-year LAPD veteran was 44.
