Derrick Henry: Cowboys Never Contacted Me in NFL Free Agency Before Ravens Contract

Before he signed with the Baltimore Ravens, several teams were likely eyeing star running back Derrick Henry.

The Dallas Cowboys were not one of those teams. Speaking on Mad Dog Sports Radio Thursday, Henry said the Cowboys never called him during free agency.

"Not at all. I don't really know what's going on over there, but there wasn't any chance," Henry said. "Baltimore had shown the most interest and I'm somewhere I wanted to be. I was glad that we got it done. But the Cowboys never called at all."

Henry, who spent eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans, ultimately signed with the Ravens on a two-year, $16 million contract Tuesday.
