Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder dropped a powerful video on Friday afternoon speaking out following the death of George Floyd and the massive, consistent protests and riots that have followed across the country.
Wilder, in a minute-long video posted to Twitter, delivered a poem while standing on a gravel road in the middle of the woods to share his thoughts on Floyd’s death and the larger conversation taking place about racism both in the United States and around the world.
“Dark like molasses, black like the night. United we stand, together we fight,” Wilder said, in part.
