Delays at Daytona? Rain, lightning plague Sprint Cup race preparation

Expect delays. Like construction zone traffic and those interminable airport security lines, NASCAR fans will hurry up and wait tonight at Daytona.

Rain and thundershowers will create problems for the Coke Zero 400, the Sprint Cup race scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m. ET. Forecasts offer little hope of getting the race started on time.

But, there will be racing and fans can expect to see a full 400 miles. Unless Mother Nature gets peevish, rain will vanish about 9 p.m. ET.

We're with @RyanJNewman for a ride along to preview this weekend's #CokeZero400, presented by @CocaColaRacing!
