Former Detroit Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy confirmed Thursday he recently underwent a second knee surgery after a meniscus tear limited him to five appearances in 2016.
According to the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett, Levy said in a text message the most recent procedure was "a retouch up on the meniscus and some other damage."
"There was more going on than I was being told," Levy added. "I can't say what this means for free agency. My main focus is to actually heal and get healthy under trusted physicians.
