David Duval fires 67 at British Open

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – Going off in the first group, the world’s 1,268th-ranked player and a 1,000-to-1 shot in the local betting parlors revealed the Old Course is vulnerable for Sunday’s third round of the 144th British Open.

David Duval also showed he still has plenty of game at 43.

The 2001 Open champ who earned the No. 1 ranking in the world in 1999, the year he shot a final-round 59 to win the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, turned back the clock and made seven birdies during a 5-under-par 67 on a defenseless Old Course to move up the leaderboard.
