The New York Jets are "hopeful" wide receiver Davante Adams can make his team debut during Sunday's Week 7 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to SNY's Connor Hughes.
Adams, who was reportedly traded on Tuesday from the Las Vegas Raiders, has not played since Week 3 due to a hamstring injury.
Hughes noted the wideout "still needs to pass a physical."
Adams flew to New Jersey on Monday night and was present at the Jets' training center on Tuesday, per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.
The Jets reportedly traded a conditional third-rounder to acquire him as a top target for veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
