The 15-year-old daughter of Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay died Sunday morning after a shooting at a Lexington, Ky. restaurant.
According to WKYT in Lexington, Trinity Gay died just before 5 a.m. Sunday following a shootout at the Cook Out restaurant around 4 a.m. Trinity Gay was a rising star on the Lafayette High School track team.
Gay was taken to a University of Kentucky hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to her neck. Accoring to police, she was not in either car from which the shots were fired.
