Liverpool striker Darwin Nuñez’s future looks increasingly uncertain despite Arne Slot denying suggestions of a training ground bust-up.
Nuñez was a notable absentee as Liverpool edged closer to the Premier League title with a victory over West Ham United on Sunday, and it was initially thought he was ill.
Slot, however, left that open to interpretation when explaining Nuñez’s non-selection, saying the striker did not play because he stopped training a day earlier.
“He didn’t feel himself the day before the match, and he went inside and he wasn’t able to be part of the team the day after,” said Slot.
