Former NFL safety Darren Sharper was sentenced to eight years in Nevada prison for sexual assault Thursday.
Per the Associated Press (via Fox Sports), a Nevada judge sentenced Sharper as part of a four-state plea deal, with Sharper being ordered to serve the sentence concurrently with an 18-year sentence from Louisiana on state and federal charges.
The AP noted Sharper is appealing his conviction and sentencing on the charges in Louisiana.
In March 2015, Sharper was charged with two counts of sexual assault in Las Vegas stemming from an alleged attack on two women from January 2014, per Veronica Rocha and Stephen Ceasar of the Los Angeles Times.
