Former Pro Bowl safety Darren Sharper has accepted a new plea deal "that could put him in prison for more than nine years and require him to testify against two co-defendants at an upcoming federal trial," according to documents obtained by USA Today's Brent Schrotenboer on Wednesday.

Sharper's previous plea deal of nine years in prison was reportedly rejected by federal Judge Jane Triche Milazzo after he entered either no-contest or guilty pleas in four separate states on charges of raping nine women.
