Welcome to victory lane, Daniel Suarez. Come back soon.
With a strong pass of teammate Kyle Busch, Suarez won his first race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on Saturday at Michigan. It's a milestone: the first victory in a NASCAR national series by a Mexican-born driver.
The only non-surprise in the Menard's 250? It was won by a Joe Gibbs Racing driver. JGR's domination of the series includes four Busch victories and two by Erik Jones. Even Denny Hamlin stepped down to Xfinity and won.
Saturday, it was Suarez's turn. He spent 46 Xfinity races watching his teammates, learning how to win.
