Daniel Bryan walked to the ring Monday night on WWE “Raw” and announced his retirement. The moment was bittersweet. Many people had suspected for a while that it would come, but they hoped it wouldn’t.
Wrestling fans wanted to see him continue forward as he had so many other times and continue to be the underdog who overcame the odds. But that is selfish thinking. The best thing — the right thing — for him to do was to step away now while he's happy and healthy rather than risk another injury.

It’s always tough to see your heroes walk away, especially one like Bryan, who, at 34 was still in the prime of his career.
