D'Angelo Russell Out At Least Two Weeks with Sprained Thumb

Golden State guard D'Angelo Russell will be reevaluated in two weeks after an MRI confirmed a right thumb sprain, the Warriors announced Saturday.

Russell suffered the injury during the Warriors' 105-100 loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday night, in which he recorded 12 points and seven assists in 25 minutes. He will not travel with the team on its upcoming four-game road trip.

The injury marks Russell's second time being sidelined this season for Golden State after missing three games in early November with a sprained right ankle.

The Warriors have been accustomed to injuries to All-Stars this season.
