Dale Earnhardt Jr. provides encouraging health update, plans to be at Dover

NASCAR and Hendrick Motorsports got some good news Monday as Dale Earnhardt Jr. told fans that his concussion symptoms are improving and he plans to be at Dover International Speedway for this Chase weekend’s race.

Earnhardt, who has missed the past 10 races after suffering a concussion in wrecks at Michigan and Daytona, said on his podcast on Dirty Mo Radio that he plans to be at Dover Saturday and Sunday and will sit on his team’s pit box. Jeff Gordon will drive Earnhardt’s No. 88 Chevy this weekend after Alex Bowman has been behind the wheel for the past two races.
