BRISTOL, Tenn. — Dale Earnhardt Jr. has done some pretty cool things in his career. He is, after all, Dale Jr., a two-time Daytona 500 winner and NASCAR’s most popular driver.
But few compare to his appearance Saturday morning on ESPN’s College Gameday at Bristol Motor Speedway. A big college football fan, Earnhardt was invited to be the guest picker on Gameday, which was on site for Saturday’s night’s Battle at Bristol game between Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
