Earnhardt is at Martinsville to work on NBCSN's broadcast the Goody's Fast Relief 500, the first race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup's Round of 8. It's another step in his recovery from a head injury, one that kept him out of races since Kentucky in July.
The long, slow, painful process is yielding results.
