If the dream Dale Earnhardt Jr. had Friday night turns into reality, NASCAR fans are going to be disappointed — it might, in fact, be worse than the 2002 MLB All-Star Game that ended in a tie.
In the dream, NASCAR exec Steve O'Donnell was talking to Earnhardt over the radio in the middle of the Sprint All-Star Race, telling the driver the race was boring him. O'Donnell's complaint: the green-lap runs were just too long.
