An early-season hand injury suffered during Sunday Night Football against the Buccaneers has sidelined Dak Prescott for the foreseeable future.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced the star quarterback will miss “several weeks” after sustaining an injury to his throwing hand in the fourth quarter of Dallas’ 19–3 loss to Tampa Bay, according to USA Today’s Jori Epstein. Jones told reporters Prescott will undergo surgery to repair an injury in the joint above the thumb on his right hand.
“Real disappointed before Dak’s injury,” Jerry said, per Epstein, “and certainly disappointed after it.
