Curt Schilling, fired by ESPN as a commentator earlier this year for making anti-transgender comments on social media, is apparently returning to the broadcast booth.
As a political commentator.
New York Magazine reports that the former major-league pitcher will host a daily online radio show on the conservative Breitbart News Network. Breitbart Executive Chairman Steve Bannon — who is also Donald Trump's campaign CEO — is expected to announce the show Monday.
Schilling's show, which is expected to eventually feature a live video feed, will include calls from listeners and political commentary. There is speculation that Trump will partner with Breitbart to form a Trump TV network after the presidential election, and it's not a leap to think Schilling's show might become part of the network's content.
