Portugal announced their roster for the 2017 Confederations Cup, set to kick off in Russia on the FOX family of networks starting June 17. The roster features a number of familiar faces, like captain Cristiano Ronaldo but features a few conspicuous absences. Manager Fernando Santos omitted a pair of key players from Portugal's Euro 2016 triumph: Eder (who scored the final's game-winner) and rising Bayern Munich star Renato Sanches.
Before playing in the Confed Cup, A Selecção will start with a friendly against Cyprus on June 3 before a World Cup qualifying match in Latvia on June 9.
