Crash puts Carl Edwards at rear of Las Vegas field; Sunday weather sketchy

Carl Edwards took the track on Saturday in his backup car. His primary car met an immovable object during qualifying.

A cut tire caused Edwards' Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota to smack a wall on Friday. Because of the damage, his No. 19 team had no choice but to go to its other car. As a result, Edwards will start from the rear of the field in Sunday's Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
