Beloved sportscaster Craig Sager, known for his flamboyant suits, died Thursday at the age of 65 following a long bout with cancer.
Sager most recently worked for Turner Sports as a basketball sideline reporter, but was a versatile sports broadcaster. Sager covered Major League Baseball, the NFL, college football, summer and winter Olympic events, golf and tennis.
Turner Sports president David Levy said in a statement released Thursday that Sager was "a true inspiration to all of us" in his courageous fight against cancer.
Sager was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in April of 2014 and missed the NBA playoffs that year and most of the 2014-15 NBA season while undergoing treatment.
