Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs is facing a significant recovery from his season-ending knee injury.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said that Diggs will need surgery and the recovery will be "about" eight months.
"Unfortunately he did have the cartilage issue," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan (h/t The Athletic's Jon Machota). "It's something that is significant. It's gonna take a surgery that'll take him quite a bit of time to return from. It's about an eight-month deal."
