Federal Judge Robert W. Schroeder III tossed out a defamation suit filed against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones by a woman who is claiming to be his daughter.
"Based on these facts alone, or viewed in combination with all the communications within their possession, it is not plausible that Defendants acted with actual malice in characterizing Plaintiff's actions as a 'shakedown attempt' that was motivated by money," Schroeder wrote, dismissing the case with prejudice.
Alexandra Davis, 27, filed a lawsuit in 2022 claiming to be Jones' biological daughter and a separate suit claiming defamation. The filing attempting to establish paternity is still pending.
