MORRISON, Colo. (AP) Courtney Force had a track-record run to top Funny Car qualifying Friday night in the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway.
Force set both ends of the track record with a 3.889-second pass at 328.30 mph in a Chevrolet Camaro SS during the first qualifying session. She has five No. 1 qualifiers in a winless season.
”It’s important to make a solid pass early at a track like this, but the coolest part is my team taking full advantage of the great conditions that we had today,” said Force, the daughter of Funny Car great John Force.
