The Oklahoma Supreme Court ordered the release of a video showing Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon punching a woman in 2014.

Mixon was suspended from the football team for a season after the confrontation and charged with a misdemeanor. The woman, Amelia Molitor, who is now 22, suffered fractured bones in her face from the punch. Mixon claimed through his attorney that he had acted in self-defense.

The surveillance video, which was shown in court, apparently shows Molitor shoving Mixon before he retaliated. Because the video was shown in the Cleveland County courtroom, the state Supreme Court ruled it should be public record.
