The Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed Russia's appeal to be banned from the Paralympic Games, after accusations of the country's rampant doping program.
The Governing Board of the International Paralympic Committee rendered its orignial decision on Aug. 7 for Russia's exclusion from the Paralympics, which will be held Sept. 7-18 in Rio de Janeiro.
"IPC did not violate any procedural rule in dealing with the disciplinary process leading to the RPC’s suspension and that the decision to ban the RPC was made in accordance with the IPC Rules and was proportionate in the circumstances," CAS, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, said in its ruling.
