It was a happier ending for Spain this time. After the disappointment of conceding a late leveler to Italy in Turin on Thursday night, Julen Lopetegui's team took all three points in Albania on Sunday. But it was harder than it should have been.
Against Italy, La Roja had dominated virtually throughout, but they needed an uncharacteristic howler from Gianluigi Buffon to take the lead at the Juventus Stadium. It was a similar story in this one as Spain finally went ahead following an error from Albania goalkeeper Etrit Berisha in the second half.
Prior to that, Spain had been in complete control.
