Cornell freshman arrested on rape charges, criminal obstruction of breathing charges

Cornell University police have charged freshman forward Xavier Eaglin with first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree criminal sexual assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, The Cornell Daily Sun reported.

Eaglin,19, was arrested Sunday, arraigned Monday and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in Ithaca, N.Y., in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

Eaglin, a native of Raymond, Texas, played just nine minutes in seven games this season.
