Four years ago, Cortland Finnegan had just signed a five-year, $50 million deal to play for the Rams. In the six previous seasons with the Titans, Finnegan, a former 7th-round pick, had emerged as one of the NFL's best cornerbacks. He'd also earned the label as one of the league's dirtiest players.
But his career plateaued in St. Louis, he was released after two disappointing seasons, and has bounced around with the Dolphins (2014), Panthers (2015), and most recently the Saints, where he signed last week.
