The Washington Commanders trade for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel came as a surprise to many across the league, especially Adam Peters' ability to trade only a fifth-round pick for the star wideout. He's coming off of a down season for a number of reasons, but his veteran experience will provide Jayden Daniels with a nice outlet when Terry McLaurin is covered. Between McLaurin and Samuel, opposing defenses will struggle to stop the Commanders' offense.
This is why the trade for Samuel ranks as the fourth-best offseason move so far in 2025.
