Colorado self-reported a minor NCAA rules violation because a prominent member of Colorado’s 2025 recruiting class was mentioned on Deion Sanders’ coaches show.
Per records obtained by USA Today, Colorado self-reported two violations involving five-star quarterback Julian Lewis. The former USC commit flipped to Colorado in November and signed with the Buffaloes in December. But college coaches aren’t supposed to mention the names of recruits who haven’t officially signed with their school. And Sanders said Lewis’ name during a show before he officially signed with the school when he was indirectly asked about the quarterback’s commitment.
