Is it too late to expand the College Football Playoff to 12 teams for the 2023 season?
As we’re now halfway through the final season of the four-team format, it’s becoming very clear that the playoff is expanding a year too late. There are at least 10 teams who look capable of winning the national title through the first seven weeks of the season. If there were a 12-team playoff this season, here’s what the field would look like at the moment, in our opinion. The four quarterfinal games would be exceptional.
