Colin Kaepernick again protested during the playing of the national anthem. This time, he wasn't alone.
The 49ers quarterback was joined by teammate Eric Reid, and the two of them knelt on the sideline as "The Star-Spangled Banner" was performed by a Navy petty officer at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium before the 49ers played the Chargers on Thursday night.

Reid is from Baton Rouge, La., where an African-American man, Alton Sterling was fatally shot by a police officer in July.
Kaepernick, who is thought to be fighting for a roster spot under new coach Chip Kelly, then led the 49ers on an 16-play touchdown drive on the opening series.
