Near the end of Oregon’s 82-68 win over Duke on Thursday night, Oregon star Dillon Brooks buried a 35-foot 3-pointer as the shot clock was running down.
Because the game was clearly in hand, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski didn’t appear enamored with Brooks’ heave, and reports surfaced that Krzyzewski scolded Brooks about it in the post-game handshake line.
Brooks apologized and said he needed to learn from the incident, while Oregon coach Dana Altman said he told Brooks to shoot and that people should be upset with him, not his player.
