Roberto De Zerbi has ended up back on AC Milan’s radar ahead of another potential change in head coach at the end of the season.
Calciomercato.com report that one summer ago De Zerbi was ‘very close’ to becoming Milan boss having been sounded out after the collapse of the negotiations for Julen Lopetegui and before the agreement with Paulo Fonseca.
Eventially, nothing came of it and the coach decided to join Marseille’s project. While they are on course to get a Champions League place, defeat to Reims yesterday leaves them 21 points behind leaders PSG, with seven gaes to go.
