Clint Bowyer sues former race team for $2.2 million

Clint Bowyer, who will replace retired star Tony Stewart in the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet in 2017, still has unfinished business with his old team.

ESPN.com reported Monday that Bowyer has sued HScott Motorsports, claiming the team owes him more than $2.2 million in salary and commission from their one season together.

Clint Bowyer Racing Inc. filed the lawsuit, alleging breach of contract and fraud, against team owner Harry Scott and HScott Motorsports.
