Clemson has opened as the No. 1 team in the nation in the initial College Football Playoff Rankings for 2015, which were released by the CFP Selection Committee on Tuesday night following the ninth week of the regular season.
LSU (7-0) checked in at No. 2 with Ohio State (8-0) and Alabama (7-1) rounding out the all-important top four of the rankings.
