Packers linebacker Clay Matthews said a cheap shot he suffered Monday night is to blame for a separated AC joint in his left shoulder.
Matthews was hit by Eagles lineman Allen Barbre, a former Packer, on the Eagles' opening series. It was a de-cleating, but a legal, crack-back block by the Eagles tackle as Matthews was knocked on his backside.
"I wasn't a fan of it," Matthews said of Barbre's block Wednesday, via ESPN.com. "I mean, I've got a lot more to say about it, but I'm going to say it behind closed doors. It was cheap shot, but it is what it is.
