City of Cleveland desperately wants to end decades of pain in Game 7

CLEVELAND — As Cleveland fans streamed into the mezzanine concourse after the Cavaliers' 115-101 victory Thursday against the Warriors at Quicken Loans Arena, somebody had to state the obvious. One man, clad in that black shirt with the red “CLE” in yellow trim, took the honors.

“It’s f—ing Game 7!” he screamed while posing with seven fingers in the air.

Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving had confirmed that a few minutes earlier — when the JumboTron caught him on the bench with 3:14 remaining. Irving nodded his head and held up those seven fingers, too.
