Monday afternoon, White Sox left-hander Chris Sale was named the AL's starting pitcher for the 2016 All-Star Game. This is Sale's fifth consecutive All-Star Game and his first starting assignment.

The All-Star Game is in San Diego this year, and during Monday's press conference, Sale told reporters he quit chewing tobacco the day Padres legend Tony Gwynn passed away in 2014.

Sale he had been using chewing tobacco since 2007.
