Chip Kelly, 49ers can't find what they're 'looking for' in free agency

While teams like the Jaguars, Giants and Texans dropped millions on coveted players during the first week of NFL free agency, the 49ers spent $760,000 on backup quarterback Thad Lewis.

New coach Chip Kelly and the organization are content with their lack of spending despite a cry of confusion from fans whose team finished 5-11 last season. Even with more than $50 million in salary cap space, they refuse to splurge on players who aren't "the right fit for the organization."
