Chiefs vs Patriots Kicking Footballs Taken to Gillette Stadium by State Troopers

Nearly one year after the New England Patriots were involved in the infamous Deflategate incident with the Indianapolis Colts in the 2015 AFC Championship Game, the team again found itself in the headlines for game ball-related issues.

David Wade of WBZ TV in New England reported Wednesday that state police confirmed the officials for Saturday’s divisional-round game between the Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs left the kicking balls in a Boston hotel. Troopers actually had to drive the balls to Gillette Stadium so they were there for the game.

Travis Anderson of the Boston Globe noted the officials also forgot the gauges that measure air pressure in the balls.
