On Monday, news broke that the Kansas City Chiefs had secured marketing rights to three new international markets as the NFL looks to expand its influence overseas.
According to the Chiefs' senior team reporter, Matt McMullen, Kansas City is now set to market to fans in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Spain, a move that could help significantly grow the team's fanbase in Europe.
In years past, the Chiefs have marketed to fans in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Mexico.
Check out McMullen's initial report about the change in Kansas City's international marketing rights, which was posted to Twitter this afternoon:
Despite their loss in Super Bowl LIX last month, the Chiefs will still be the team to beat in the NFL next season as they look to earn their fourth consecutive championship appearance.
